OK, let's forget the '29 version (for the most part). Why do some scenes, in the '25 version, look as good as the '29 version, while the rest of the '25 version looks terrible?
Well regardless of how complete they are the main 1925 version was still compiles from 8 different Show at Home prints.
And yeah, sorry if my last comment was so long. I kept editing it and that got really out of hand.

So I have an amazon card... recommendations? Leaning this way

http://www.amazon.com/Werewolf-Paranoiac-Nightmare-Creatures-Frankenstein/dp/B00KXQL6CW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1451192702&sr=8-2&keywords=hammer+film

What else ?

Totally recommend this set! One of my fav collections. Obviously "Brides" and "Curse" two of the best Hammer films ever. I'm a big fan of "Night Creatures" too. I think Hammer's "Phantom" is underrated.

That must explain the variety in condition, then. Too bad the better looking print didn't look good all the way through!

Me too! I prefer it to the '43.

My GOD I've been dying to see the Hammer Phantom!
I pretty much know the ending and his origin already but still. I haven't seen many Hammer Films.

It's a gorgeous set. I don't particularly care for the cardboard packaging that you have to slide the discs out of, but it's a nice presentation overall.

I agree 100%. They also gave the same treatment to the Aliens set. Sliding the disks in and out is a sure way of scratching them over time.
