Yeah, reminds me of some of the cheezy titles Sam Sherman came up with for a lot of the Independent International releases. However, it does describe the movie pretty well.

HPL binge continues.

The Resurrected (1991)

Re-Animator (1985)

From Beyond (1986)

I saw the two Stuart Gordon movies when they first came out in the theaters. Loved 'em then and still do. The Resurrected escaped me for years but when I learned of it I ordered the Blu-ray a few years ago. It's become a favorite as well.

Dagon (2001)

Combines The Shadow Over Innsmouth with Dagon. The dark intent of Lovecraft spiced up with drive-in cheesecake. My favorite Stuart Gordon movie.

Necronomicon: The Book of the Dead (1993)

Starts out promising but gets less so as it goes. Kind of mediocre, overall. Makes you appreciate all the more the HPL adaptations Stuart Gordon directed.

Dreams in the Witch-House (2005) (Masters of Horror episode)

Excellent
