My son got the movie, as well as the Bandai King Caesar and Mechagodzilla for his birthday (to go along with his hand-me-down 1986 Imperial Godzilla). He (and my daughter who reluctantly watched it) loved the movie. King Caesar was an unexpected but overwhelming crowd pleaser as were the ape aliens.

Great selection. Def in my top five Godzilla movies. Pretty serious film too considering made during the so-called kid friendly Godzilla era.
