Know the face, but am not up on 60's sitcoms -

Why, he was general store owner Sam Drucker on "Petticoat Junction", "Green Acres" and 10 episodes of "The Beverly Hillbillies". :)

Don't think I have ever seen any more than about half a dozen of the Hillbillies and two or three Acres.

Never saw Junction at all.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0235031/

She did a crapload of TV. She was in two Twilight Zone eps, including Eye Of The Beholder, of course, and one ep of Night Gallery. So, she's one of our's.

Hope this isn't too easy:

"And as long as this knob is set so that the temperature remains constant, there'll be no problem."

Uh, guys...

Need a clue.  Is Frank Cady in it?

We're still in the 50's.

The line sets up a major plot turn.  (NOT from "The Thing From Another World".)

It's from the Monster that Challenged the World. Some scientists is yammering on, or a military guy. Cant remember. Just watched this and IT Terror from Beyond Space a few nights ago. So I am sure I am right. 8)

...........unless I am totally brain dead or this line (or some variation appears in another giant 50's bug movie) I am guessing I was right. So, here's a new one.

"They look terrible. Why don't you put them out of their misery?"

Correct.

It is Hans Conried (Dr. Rogers) explaining to the military officers that the giant mollusk egg they brought back to the lab is safe because they are keeping the water it is in at a steady 38 degrees to prevent it from hatching.

Then the little girl comes along and raises what she thinks is the room temperature setting to make her favorite lab rabbit more comfortable.

Oops!

Then we get the famous FM still that seemed to appear in every other issue, lol.  >:D >:D

OK....so:

"They look terrible. Why don't you put them out of their misery?"

Any takers? 8)
