Quote from: Mike Scott on January 09, 2024, 12:52:25 AMFinished my adventures in Terryland with all of the available (50 out of 54) "Gandy Goose" cartoons.

The first Gandy Goose cartoon from March 1938 was almost unwatchable. The next six were marginally better but still lousy. But the eighth, Hook, Line and Sinker, from September 1939 was a lot better. It was the first one in colour and introduced Sourpuss, but most importantly Gandy was much less annoying.

Monsters For Sale

Two old British films:

     The Ghost Train, 1941
     The Runaway Bus, 1954

Atmospheric little movies that would both benefit from major re-writes and being remade as much darker fare, with the comedic elements almost entirely eliminated.
