For any die-hards out there who care about such things, here is an update on the pictured actors in this still:



The previously unidentified young lady playing Dr. Henricks'  brunette nurse is Carol Morris.  She was Miss Iowa, Miss America and, in 1956, Miss Universe.  Her speaking role is uncredited in the movie.  I have identified her as "Nurse 1" and added her to the IMDb listings for "The Monolith Monsters". 

Dr. Hendricks also has a 2nd nurse who is uncredited.  She is blonde and does not speak.  Can anyone help me identify the actress?

(I also made a small addition to the credit for Ezelle Poule.  Her part was previously listed simply as "Telephone Operator", when in point of fact her character is addressed as "Ethel" twice by actor William Flaherty, playing Police Chief Dan Corey.)

Not aware of one.  The only half-sheet I know of is just a bigger version of the title card.

Maybe the later movies didn't have them? All the Creature movies and This Island Earth had them. Can't specifically remember if the others did.

Looks like everything up thru SHRINKING MAN had a B HS, but nothing after that.

"The Monolith Monsters" must have been right on the cusp.

"The Incredible Shrinking Man" opened in New York in February of 1957 and received wide release in April.

Here is an April 16th letter from Grant Williams to what I think was the head of his fan club:

He thanks him for his kind remarks about "I.S.M." and mentions that "Monolith" should be released in August.  (In fact, it was not released until December.)

Yeah.  Another one of those things that went cheaply for opening bid.  It was listed as an "autograph" item.

I think bidders did not read the letter very carefully and were turned off by the fact that he did not sign his complete name.  Grant Williams autographs can go for fairly high prices sometimes.

I think that if a B version of the Half-Sheet were ever produced for "The Monolith Monsters", this is the design that would likely have been used.

Well, then maybe they did not do the "A" version of the Monolith Half-Sheet.

The only Half-Sheet I have ever seen for Monolith is almost identical to the No. 1 Lobby Card.
