Listening to and watching:

Black Sabbath: The End of the End concert video (2017)

I missed Bill Ward, but otherwise good.

I agree Mord. Not quite the same. The guy playing live them is a basher, total metal drummer. That's fine for loud, live performances, but Bill Ward is a technician, not just a guy bashing away. Bill plays with a lot more rhythm and swing than the guy they replaced him with.

Mike...In 3-D!

I've had the first six Van Halen records playing while working on the basement.

Velvet Underground - White Light, White Heat (1968)

Still ahead of it's time. The title song is probably the very best song about shooting speed. "Lady Godiva's Operation" was the first song about sex change surgery. So classic.

That would be a nice, firm 'no' on the Van Hagar, Geezer. I like my Van Halen wild and full of Roth-y goodness.

MASTURBATION GENERATION (Boys Next Door. - live 1977)

The 2nd gig ever by the band that would become The Birthday Party. Loud, rough, noisy, warts-and-all performance by a band right out of school. Nick Cave and the lads perform punked  up versions of songs by Alice Cooper, The Ramones, The Who...even a thrashy version of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Were Made for Walking". On glorious vinyl.

I couldn't find this on spotify, but there's some rad, black and white concert footage on youtube. Great stuff. Afterwards I thought "Hope my wife, or anyone else for that matter doesn't check my youtube search history." Considering I typed in "Boys next door," "Masturbation Generation," "I'm 18."
:o

lol!
