I can't comment on John 5's collection, but he seem like cool guy in other ways. Originally from Detroit area, he lives in Hollywood now. Played in Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson. More importantly he likes all the stuff we like on this forum. He's always repping the Universal Monsters and other classic horror films. He's also huge Sabbath, Alice, and Kiss fan. His band "John 5 and the Creatures" is a direct nod to CFTBL i believe.

  1. Universal fan 2. From Detroit. 3. Played with R. Zombie
All the makings of a good human-type person. Gabba, gabba I accept him.

Great live, too. I had a chance to meet John 5 at Fangoria Weekend of Horrors in 2007....or maybe 2006. The year escapes me. Really humble and nice person.

Ha, I love it. All the perquisites for a quality human being: from Detroit--check; plays rock guitar--check; loves Universal Monsters--check; by definition a fine, upstanding person, LOL.  :)

Great Ramones reference there too!

Amoeba Record's "What's in your Bag?" on You Tube

This is a great series on You Tube. It features your favorite musicians and celebrities revealing what their buying. Many favorites show the contents of their shopping bag and explain why they like it. I just watched Ace Frehley's choices. He bought some seriously great music. Read this list:
  1. Led Zep - 1st album
  2. Jeff Beck Group - Beck-ola
  3. Blue Cheer- 1st album
  4. Alice Cooper - Greatest Hits
  5. Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced? (he talked about being the roadie on Hendrix's last N.Y. show...wow!)

Watch this, music freaks. You won't regret it.

Yep, saw that. Great show! I liked the cast of Sarah Silverman (lots of cool punk choices) and members of Death. I'm hooked.

Thank you! Actually, "Gabba, gabba, we accept you" originated with Tod Browning's "Freaks" (1932). The Ramones turned it to their motto. I love both references.

I used to do the heavy metal and hard rock stuff in high school, but I kinda grew out of it. Nowadays, my music tastes consist of a diet of classic 50s rock and roll/rockabilly, exotica/lounge music, surf music, movie soundtracks, old '30s-late '50s standards, and weirdo monster music (think Boris Pickett and Zacherley's music).

This morning I was listening to a couple of those great lounge music records that Jackie Gleason put out, like Music for Lovers Only. Yesterday, I was listening to a bit of Ricky Nelson and some Frank Sinatra last night. Day before was Spook Along with Zacherley! and the Coffin Daggers.

Kind of a weird mix, but I dig it.
