This is what I scored for my official "Father's Day" gift. Just arrived today. Sealed in original cellophane shrink wrap. Darn Near perfect. Two minor nicks to wrapping, but everything under the wrapping is just as minty as it was when it sat on hoby store shelves in 1975 (more or less, lol). Not bad for a 40+ year old throw away item. I have had these off and on in varying conditions over the years. First perfect one I have ever owned.

Nice FD gift! Are you gonna leave it in the shrunken wrap?

Absolutely. I am the present caretaker. When I go belly up, some other soul can enjoy it in all its minty goodness. 8)

I guess the box front is the best part, anyway. :)

Yes, the contents were super rad when I was a kid in 1975, but nowadays would be considered kind of unexciting to kids. The box is the main thing. This box is perfect...so me happy. ;D ;D ;D ;)

Very cool. I always wanted that as a kid.
Wasn't there a TV commercial for this back in the day?

Found a bunch of commercials (on YT) featuring VP, but not that one. I swear they used to have it.

Mord

Congratulations,  Anton, I just saw this. You are so deserving of this wonderful gift. It pays off to be a good dad (not that I would ever know).

Anton Phibes

Thanks Mord. Im saving my pennies at the moment in order to get this and have it sit in front of it. Seems fitting.

Wow, is this real? I didn't realize Vincent was associated so much with this product that someone would make a bust of it.

Anton Phibes

Yup. Its real. This product made quite an impression on those of us under the age of 13 back in the day. Matt Groening even devoted an entire Simpson's episode to it (more or less). Season 10, ep. 12 Sunday, Cruddy Sunday.
