Super7 is closing their San Francisco and San Diego walk-in stores until this virus thing passes.

They will have as many employees as possible work from home.

They will still be filling online orders for the time being.

Hey, Super7!

How about some special offerings during this time when you are not putting out convention exclusives?

You still have customers who want more Universal Monster product.  We can still make purchases on the Internet.

Something?

Are the toy factories in China still working?

As I understand it they intend to do something in lieu of the now cancelled comic con. For what it's worth here are a few other pieces of information:
•There was not going to be a Boodega at SDCC this year (even before COVID). There was going to be something like it later in the year (closer to Halloween).
•The soakies are still planned to happen (Mr. Flynn himself told me that just last week).
•With all that being said everything is up in the air right now for obvious reasons. China says they're still shipping stuff but if you run a non-essential business how much do you want to have them ship you? I have no inside info on this next part but it stands to reason that a manufacturer of toys may scale back production of new items during a time when there is the most unemployment since the Great Depression. It doesn't make a ton of sense to invest in development & production costs when you can't sell enough to even break even.

Hey - A couple bright spots, there.

I know this is a lousy time to be selling unemployed people stuff they don't actually need.

Mainly, I just wanted to get people talking about something here.

I REALLY want those soakies and the Reaction Series 3 to happen. Many if not all of those figures will never get made again at this scale (and for some maybe any scale) again.

Pixel Dan did another interview with Bryan Flynn. Towards the end they did discuss the Universal Monster Super Soakies. Reading between the lines it appears they were going to release those at a Boodega event at NYCC. COVID 19 derailed that. They will be releasing them (they already have production versions done and painted) but they don't know when that will be now. Likely late in the year or next year.

They were going to do a Boodega at NYCC?!?! Gah! Damn you Covid!  >:(

Super7 seems to still be regularly putting out releases.  I'm not worried about the soakies or reaction figures, I know they will be produced.

The stuff they're putting out now was made late last year. The issue moving forward is getting it made and shipped over. Every step of getting anything from China is taking much longer right now. I recently had a large shipment of goods sit at a Chinese airport for 2 weeks before it got on a plane. Then it sat in customs for over a week. In all from order to receipt it took over a month (by air) to arrive and cost 5X the normal cost. Normally I would have received in less than 5 days from order of these products.
