Maybe it's just me, but color takes away some of their charm and mystery.
I agree. I like my monster figures in color but the movies only feel right in black and white.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

Thought it'd be fun to color the classic Glenn Strange image:

Sounds like Scrappy Doo's cousin...  "Duh duh duh duh duhhh duhhhhh.  Possum Power!"

Anthony Caranci  asked for some colorized Karloff and sent me a couple SoF images. Here is the first set. Went with four colors for the monster; white, green (like the home movie), flesh, and blue/pallor.

Any favorite?

These would make great trading cards.

I like the white and the yellow, myself.

Here are some nice examples of colorization.

Not monster, but examples of how natural it CAN look.  Maybe old movies will someday just be expected to exist in B&W and color - if they want to continue to exist at all.

I think the photo of Mark Twain looks pretty natural.

Excellent material. I like the Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth, and the 3 Kennedy brothers. In fact, they all look outstanding! The Lincoln photo is really nice.

I like the upper right hand corner. I like when he is actually green.
Listen to them. Children of the Night. What music they make!
