Went to another toy show today. Picked up a bunch of old 1960's Matchbox cars. I'm trying to get back my old collection...
On the way home, I figured I'd stop by TRU, just to see if they had anything interesting. Glad I stopped in! Found this guy. Is this the coolest monster toy or what? I'm a huge Bigfoot/Abominable Snowman fan. They also had a Sasquatch as well...different sculpt and all. I was torn as to which toy to buy. Surprisingly, this thing was only $20. He's made by Animal Planet. He's 16" tall, so he's pretty damn big.

Saw your post this morning and immediately RAN to Toys R Us to get one of my own. $20 for this guy? CRAZY! He's huge. I love him. And he was the last one too. They had Sasquatch too but he's definitely not as cool as Yeti.  Don't much like his Marvel 6 pack.  This yeti toy reminds me of the yeti from the Disneyland Matterhorn ride.

I know, it's hard to believe he's so big and so cheap. And you're right, he's much cooler looking than the Sasquatch. I didn't like the way the Sasquatch was posed - looking downward. IMHO, the Yeti has a much better pose and look to him. And yeah, TRU only had one of each, so I was really glad to have found him when I did. Animal Planet also has a Bigfoot playset as well, and I believe a couple years back they had a Yeti set too.

He fits in nicely on top of my shelf.  They had the yeti playset at my TRU, I might go back to get it!
