Lovely songs, Hep. I recently rewatched "Still on the Run". The testimonials by Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Ronnie Wood, Joe Perry, Rod Stewart, Slash, Steven Tyler etc., should be enough to quell the naysayers (I would think).

Jeff Beck out Hendrixing Hendrix with a little help from Seal (?Seal...?...WTF...Seal?...Really?..REALLY!)

Now, they'd be lucky to get Kid Rock and Toby Keith.

I just watched my "Jeff Beck, Live at Ronnie Scott's" dvd. This is my personal favorite Beck live performance. The entire band is on fire. Great that all three remaining members of Led Zep were in the audience. You see Plant very clearly in front.

Good thing then that I don't  rely on rock stars for political insights.

I wouldn't rely on Kid Rock and Toby Keith for musical insights, either.

Apparently after Mick Taylor left, the Stones asked Beck to play on a couple of tracks but unbeknownst to him they were in all actuality trying to get him to join the band. Beck turned them down but he did let them have his Bassist instead.  ;)

Beck is a genius, but it would have never worked out. He is a real rolling stone. He never stays in one place for too long.

All very true!

Keith and I Would Have Punched Each Other Out! - Jeff Beck

As an independent spirit Jeff Beck would have found it impossible to work with control freaks Mick Jagger and Keith Richards for long. He would have quickly rebelled at any directions from Richards.

Btw, Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck will be reuniting for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl next month. I'm really tempted to go.
