I can't seem to upload an avatar. Could it be because I'm trying to do this from my iPad.

You need to upload your pic to your own webspace, then copy the URL. Read this:

I've always used photobucket to add my avatar photo and it always used to work here.

It says you moved or deleted the image. Make sure you have a working URL for the image you want.

Perhaps it takes overnight to work and that won't be the FIRST time that it takes a bit longer.

That is odd! It should work. I put the pic in my ImageShack until you can figure it out. Are you sure your PB folder is set to "public"?

Is there a "space" in your file name? I see a "%20" in the file name. Maybe that's the problem.

I too had trouble with my tried-and-true ImgShack and then PhotoBucket.  Finally went back to TinyPic and that works as the others should have.   ImgShack had converted my 7-year free account into a 30-day trial-period-ended account.  Gee - hope that works out for them.  PhotoBucket, well, I never figured that problem out.  When TinyPic worked immediately, as expected, I figured the other sites simply didn't want to cooperate.  Brick walls, foreheads - ferget it.  What's the old saying - "It's easier to switch than fight?"
