So who's going to the midnight showing of the Avengers movie?  This guy is (pointing both thumbs at self)!  I'm so excited about this movie that I feel like a kid on Christmas.  I went out today and bought some Avengers figures and a life size cardboard cut out of my favorite hero Captain America.  I have no idea where I'm putting this in my house, but I don't care, it was just too awesome to pass up.

Well, about 2 hours and 15 minutes until the show.  I'll re-post when its over to give my "unbiased" review. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Okay.
Me and the lil lady went to the midnight showing to a packed theater, with fans excited and dressed as their favorite character.  The mood was vary joyous with tons of anticipation for a great show.  The theater however was not prepared for the amount of people that would be attending.  After braving the confusion with lines and the understaffed concession stand, we mad our way into the packed theater and found two seats.

From beginning to end, the movie was excellent and can be appreciated by anyone with little to no knowledge of the characters or comic books.  For us comic nerds, we will appreciate the little things in the movie that are a huge part of the Avengers comic book mythos.  I wont give any spoilers, you just have to see the move.

This was by far my favorite comic book movie and favorite all-time movie.  2 1/2 hours went by just way too fast.

P.S.  Stay until the credits are over!

Captain America is my favorite of this lineup as well.  Can't wait, and hoping they're staying true to the comics (dissapointed there's no Ant-Man).   From your discription of the crowds, maybe we can assume the super hero trend in movies will have a long run.  I'll be seeing this Sunday.

Saw it this afternoon and I will certainly see it again! Fantastic film, fun and action-filled with a decent plot. Every character gets a chance to shine, and although the Hulk is carefully held back at first, when he gets to smashing, it's worth the wait! Be sure to stay for the closing credits as the hidden villain who partners with Loki stands revealed..long time comics fans will be thrilled when they see who it is.

Cant wait for the sequel!!

Saw it afternoon with my son. I can't recall when I had a better time at the movies. The perfect super-hero film, and just a fun, well written, well-acted, well-executed film.

Stay past the main credits, and then the FINAL credits. There are actually two codas with this one!!!

Seeing it again this weekend with the whole family.

Saw it at midnight.... Hulk def f-ed up everything in his path... In a good way of course !! Good movie. Def a whole lotta one liners. Stay through the credits. I think there will be another Fantastic Four-esque movie to come from this, and probably another character as well to get there own movie to build up to another avengers movie in the near future. This is what the great swami thinks.  ;D

I just saw it last night! FANTASTIC!!! Better than I expected - I think I may see it again as there is so much to take in. For those who don't know, Thor and Capt. America solo films are a MUST watch before seeing this. Consider this movie a direct sequel to those films

I did read something last week that the Fantastic Four movies would get a reboot.  Hopefully Marvel Studios has the rights now so the movie will get done properly.

All I can say is wow....I was blown away!  What a great, great time at the movies; I can't recall when I've enjoyed a movie so freakin' much?!  Iron Man/Robert Downey owned the movie even though all were given their chance to shine!  At first when they cut away from Iron Man during the big battle and focused on Black Widow/Scarlett Johansson and Hawkeye/Jeremy Renner, I was just thinking get back to Iron Man and what he's doing up in the sky but...and it's a big butt....the thought was quickly diminished when Black Widow and Hawkeye started kicking some alien tail!!  Holy friggin' mackerel, not sure if I'll be seeing it again in theaters but I'll definitely be picking it up the day it hits on dvd!!  Finally glad to see Hulk battling for a purpose, although with the Hulk it's always fun to just watch him smash!

While sitting thru the credits waiting for the bonus scenes I noticed something that struck me as odd, there was a stunt double for the Hulk?!?!

Count_Zirock

It's a mo-cap performance. There were probably certain moves Ruffalo couldn't pull off.

Yeah, that's what I figured I just thought it was funny that a CGI character would have a stunt double.  I'm sure it wasn't the first time but I usually don't sit and watch the credits.
