Masks are fun to look at, whether being worn or displayed on a sale rack.

On entering the dealers room at Midsummer Scream last weekend, I encountered
someone wearing a TrickorTreat Frankenstein. He must've just purchased it
since the tag was still attached >

TrickorTreatStudios' official table was but a few steps away. They've finally added
a Mole People mask to their display. This was a first for me >

'Looks like they darkened the paint on their Wolfman, far left. 'Much better, I think >

Jasper Andersen also had a table at the show. On display was a copy of the
Wolfman he sculpted for ToTS which he custom finished in DPS Calendar
style. It'd be worth buying one just to hit him up for a repaint >

'Mystery mask at the Chaney Entertainment booth. 'Obviously the Ape Man from
A Blind Bargain (1922) but does anybody know who made it? I didn't see one
in the ToTS catalog >

I'll add more pics as I take them in coming months. For now, reply with images
of your own. All the best dressed monsters wear masks!

"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Morning, noon, or night, Anytime . . . . the count may strike. If you're caught you have to linger, Cause Dracula may bite your finger!

Doh!

Can't say I'm a fan of the eye black on those Franks; I prefer the more subtle paint on my copy. But the darker Wolf Man looks great.

'Plenty of fun stuff to see at Son of Monsterpalooza this weekend:

Mr Cooper was away from his table when I walked up but his masks
were at full attention along with two young and lovely stand-ins >

The fellow at Haunted Harvest Novelties said he based the look of his
"Frankenstein" mask on a T-shirt I happened to be wearing >

MonsterMan told me what the "37" means: some sort of designation
while he was in the military >

The selection at Best Little Horror House was so extensive, I needed two shots to get it all >

It's a tradition for me to grab a shot of MooreMonsters' Gillman mask.
I wonder why they always keep it on the floor during shows >

MabryMonsters was right next to Trick or Treat Studios. I especially liked
Justin's take on Distortions' "Rotted Corpse", made with Ed's blessing >

The ToTS table seemed a little light on masks this year, and so close to Halloween too >

All of KC's masks were wearable except for the two on opposite ends:
Jack from "The Shining" and Disneyland's "Abominable Snowman" >

To leave your hearts aglow: "Dr Druid" from the Verne Langdon table >

If you have more mask pics taken at this or any conventions, they're always welcome.

'Lots to see at this weekend's show >

A custom painted Snake Mummy was seen moldering at the MabryMonsters table.
If it does become a ToTS mask, it will probably be finished in DPS production colors >

There was a really awesome ToTS Creature nearby, finished by Russ Lukich.
I believe that's Mr L himself lurking behind it >

This company, with offices in California and Florida, owns the Topstone name but not
the characters. It's hoped that a licensing arrangement can be worked out with ToTS >

I'd like to see someone try wearing that mask of the ALIEN Queen! >

Mike Scott ought to get a kick out of this "teen idol" Creature,
breaking hearts at the Best Little Horror House display >

CreatureFeatures has launched a kickstarter campaign for their upcoming book about The Halloween Society,
with proposed cover art on display as well as many HSCCE mask editions >

There were some terror-ific masks worn by the attendees themselves;
only wish I could've chased them all down for pictures >

Did you catch sight of any scary cool masks at Monsterpalooza 2023?
Reply with pics of them, lest I dispatch these she-demons to plague you!

Doh!

Thanks for sharing, Sir! It's almost like being there.

'A peek inside The Halloween Society room at Son of Monsterpalooza 2023 >

'The incredible selection at Ghoulish Productions >

Check out their new "SteamPunk Frankenstein". That's one of its hands at the bottom >

Is that "Dr. Gogol" near the TV screen in the 2nd pic?
