Here is Glenn Strange wearing the boots used in "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein".

This photo is a good example of what was discussed before about old Frankenstein boots (maybe it was over on CHFB)- that is not a "stitched" seam you see on the boot's side, but the under-boot's structure showing through the outer suede skin. The inner boot closes up on the sides, the outer boot zips up the back, working in tandem for strength and ankle support, I assume.

Cool thread and very interesting. You guys are right about some of those super high Universal walk around boots. They are ridiculous looking!
