Anyone a fan? I LOVE this stuff. I had a few dozen back 20+ years ago and (stupidly) :P sold them for other interests. Now they are 3-6X what they were worth back then. I still have a couple which I will never sell. Love all the E.C stuff. Crime does not pay,etc etc. Glad I bought a CD-Rom disc of like 200 Pre-Code crime comics. Sunday blueberry pancakes, coffee , donuts and pre-code crime on the P.C= Great start to the day. 8)
Here's a link for a bunch of great covers.
This is just a feeler. Let's talk Crime Comics if you are into them.

Illoman

I *love* Jack Cole's work in this genre. Plastic Man, etc... Great, great stuff. I wish those Plastic Man hard covers weren't so darned expensive.

I love 'em. I have the Crime suspense stories box set Russ Cochran reprinted and The Mr Monster true crime reprints. Jack Cole had such a great black humor in his comics. until he blew his brains out.

I've always loved the early Eisner's The Spitit and Gibson's The Shadow.  Also love the OTR adventures of these two as well as The Green Hornet.   Eisner's artwork was brilliant (his P'Gell was increadably hot for a comic character).  Can't stand movie versions of these characters though.

I love covers like this. Look at at it. Totally nasty and violent. Those are the crime comics I like.

Shootings where they actually show bloody exit wounds , drug use stories almost always double the value of an issue.

Hmm,what famous 1930's gangster flick with some guy named Cagney does this remind you of.

Blood on the cover. This one sold well.

I've got a B/W reprint of this highly sought after issue.

If I had the $ this would be my second obsession right behind monsters.

deadman

Those are great covers man. Did you ever see the Boston gang war page? it's just panels of them rubbing each other out by Jack Cole of corpse.  I love these old crime comics.

There are several of them floating around out there. Some are total rips wanting $20 for maybe a dozen comics.

I cannot vouch for these since I have not bought from them.

This is who I bought my stuff from. Several collections in fact including pre-code horror.

Decent quality and once you get hang of navigation it's pretty easy. I recommend them.

No problem Bro. I hope you find something you like. I have literally something like 2000+ comics on CD. Cheesy super hero, crime, horror, funny animal. Even have the first few dozen Captain America including the origin + the first 12 issues of Batman. I HIGHLY recommend comics on CD to anyone. You pay pennies for an issue and you have literally weeks of reading from one disc. And with some you can hit Control/Print screen and throw it to your printer. During the winter before football comes on this is where you will find me most weekend mornings. On my laptop reading this stuff. Thank the powers that be for people that took ALL that time to scan ALL those many thousands of pages for the CD collections.

There are some AWESOME covers!!!
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Hey Lester, you may appreciate this.

Criminal by Brubaker and Philips is a hard edge crime comic straight from the classic pulp period you like. What's also cool is the last few pages are devoted to reviews/discussions of the classics, whether they are film, novels or comics from the 40-50s.
"For one who has lived but a single lifetime, you are a wise man ...Van Helsing."
"I shall awaken memories of love and crime and death..."

Gasport

DAMN...I wanna subscription to Teenage Dope Slaves!

Unknown Primate

Damn - these are cool!  Can't imagine if I'd discovered these the same time I was discovering the EC comics!  I'd be twice as warped :o!!
" Perhaps he dimly wonders why, there is no other such as I. "

Wicked Lester

What a treasure trove here for anyone with the coinage to drop. Yea you could manage to find these on a couple CD scan collections for around .03 the cost but having all these originals would be AWESOME>
