Never even knew there was such an item. Congratulations! If its not too rude---exactly what does one of those items cost nowadays?  its gotta be worth a pretty penny as rare as it no doubt is. Fantastic illustrations, esp. on Kong and Phantom!

Awesome, fantastic. It is always cool to locate a hard to find collectible that one
cherishes. Congratulations, on your find.  ;D

Seeing Dan's alternate blue cover makes me wonder - was there some sort of legal action taken against the manufacturer for using Warren Publishing's trademarked "Monsters" logotype?

I shouldn't think so, since they used to sell them through the Capt. Co.

This version is easier to find than the other but is more in demand due to the FM logo, in my experience. A still sealed one sold for just over $400 a couple of years ago (the exact one Bogey linked to) and open ones often have pieces missing and of course no "NEW!" sticker. A complete one, in either box, is hard to find a tends to go in the $150 range, I've seen the FM sell for $225 in more robust times. They come up on average once every year and a half to two years. Not easy to get. Congrats to Draculafan, it is a great thing for your collection!
