My name is Raymond Castile.  I've been collecting monster toys since 1989.  I was second-in-command under Gen. Ingram at the Yahoo UMA and I'm one of the moderators here at the new UMA.  I am a Coffin Joe fanatic, so I use him as my avatar.  For more information about me, check out my Web sites.

Greetings! My name is Chris Nichols and I’m new to the UMA. Of those who have posted on this thread so far, the only person I know well is Dan Roebuck and t’was he that encouraged me to join here. As to my unpronounceable moniker (“roheimiana”), its meaning is so obscure I won’t bother you with it. In fact, when I once explained it to Danny, his eyes rolled and he spilled a pitcher of ice tea on my kitchen floor... I’ve learned to keep quiet ever since. ;D

My name is Nicole, and I'm from Kentucky. Like Dr. Terror said, I also prefer not to give too much personal information about myself on the internet. But I will say that I'm a bit of a well-known artist in my area. I actually like to collect all kinds of stuff; comics, action figures, coins, stamps, figurines, foreign items...pretty much whatever catches my eye. And like Ray, I too am a huge Coffin Joe fanatic. As you can see, he's also in my avatar ;D

My name is Charlie. I am from the Chicagoland area.

I'm a toyaholic/pop culture fiend with a focus mainly on 70's Super Hero and Monster memorabila. I have a rather massive Mego Monster and Super-Hero collection.

I have been lucky enough to have contibuted to the recently published "Mego 8 inch Super-Heroes World's Greatest Toys" book written by Benjamin Holcomb.

I was also allowed the opportunity to provide a large amount of content for the Mad Monsters section of www.megomuseum.com where I am also a member.

Check out some of the pics if you get a chance:

Private Napoleon Alexander Trotsky Meek can be found in George Bernard Shaw's play "Too True to Be Good" and is a thinly disguised caricature of T.E.Lawrence(that's "Lawrence of Arabia" to the benighted). "Meek" takes care of the little things like the mail, exchanging currency, paperwork, gathering intelligence, interpreter, quelling rebellions and other small annoyances that might bother his commanding officer's peace of mind----in other words, "Meek" is a clerk extraordinaire and that's sort of been my job for the past 25 years.
I've never been too thrilled with my actual name and feel that my parents showed a remarkable lack of imagination when they named me and I liked my name even less when I first learned to write it back in the 1st Grade.  Linda Miller--just look at it, no pizazz what-so-ever and it took me years to find a suitable signature to use on my paintings.

Meek by name and by nature---and still waiting to inherit something
"I am like a Unicorn in a racing stable. Beast doesn't fit."   T.E.Lawrence

Hello UMA, my name is Brian.

I have been a fan of Monsters since I can remember.  Sir Graves Ghastley and the Ghoul were my horror host in the Detroit area.

The Creature is my all time favorite which is what most of my collection specializes in!  I don't remember my first monster toy, but it was probably one of the AHI's.  I am also one of the Children of the Glow.  (I bought the Aurora Glow models and Mego Monsters).  I still have most of this stuff today and then some, due to the Dreaded E(vil)bay.

I also have a lovely daughter who enjoys Munsters and Addams Family!

One of my goals is to build my monster room.  I am like Ray, most of my stuff is still in boxes.

Happy New Year!

BK (That is my nickname and I mean no disrespect to Boris Karloff or Burger King).

Hello, my name is Rodd, I am an artist and filmmaker, and I've been a monster movie nut since I was a kid.  When I was six, I would charge kids at school five cents for a drawing of any monster they wanted.  I used to aspire to being the Wolf Man, because I loved the way he ran and hopped and leaped!  I think there's an endless number of things to be interested in, and one needs only to look around to find something new.

This board is great fun because folks here have a great attitude and are extremely knowledgeable.  It's nice to meet everyone here!

My name is Rob Tullo, I’m 42, and I live in southern NJ.  I essentially grew up in this area watching local horror host Dr. Shock.  My monster collecting started off focussing on the Wolf Man, but has rapidly spread to include the rest of Universal’s pantheon, as well as, SciFi, Harryhausen films, and other stuff which just looks cool.  If you look around my room here, you will also will see Godzilla, James Bond, autographs, super heroes,  part of my collection of 3-D viewers, Star Trek, Star Wars, my pet kingsnake, Six Million Dollar Man, Groucho Marx, and a lot of clutter and dust.  I made up the ‘monsterphile’ name a while back.

I don't suppose my screen name is too confusing!... but my full name is Mike Cathcart. I am a monster, Halloween and horror fanatic.  To pay bills I sing and play guitar, piano and a few other instruments for the likes of Andy Williams and the Lennon Sisters... but for real fun I collect monsters, build models, and design and build animatronics. I was featured for a few years on HGTV's 'Extreme Halloween' (I had the big ghost ship on my roof with the singing pirate animatronics)... I haven't posted much in this newer forum, but I did frequently in the previous. I love the UMA, though, always will. Long Live MONSTERS!

My name is Erick Bognar and I live in Akron, OH. I've been a monster fan since I was a kid in the 70's. I grew up watching monster movies with Superhost and The Ghoul and playing with my Mego Monsters. I adopted my screen name (Monsterama2000) many years ago when I first got a computer, the inspiration came from some Rob Zombie song titles. My avatar is me dressed as Uncle Fester for Halloween a few years ago.

Dan, thanks for starting this.

The name is William Shawn Murphy. A good Irish name except for the americanized spelling of Shawn. It was almost William Keltner Murphy like my father but he didn't want me growing up with the name Keltner which I agreed with as a child but now think it would be kinda cool.

I never had a nickname growing up but many years ago a good friend and drinking buddy christened me The Professor. It's a long story but it involved drinking a lot and often at our local Trader Vic's. It was an in joke until he started introducing me to everyone as The Professor. To this day there are two different groups of people, those who know me by Shawn and those who know me as The Professor. A few years ago I was told by someone that they had asked another friend why I was called The Professor and he answered, "because he owns everything and he knows everything" which I thought was pretty funny. Especially because it just ain't true. I never actually refer to myself as The Professor although on MySpace I'm The Professor aka ZOMBOPHOTO.

On the old UMA board I was The Phantom Creep but I never posted.

When I started my flickr account I had to choose a new name and I chose ZOMBOPHOTO because I liked the way the two words sounded together. Zombo was the tv horror host on The Munsters. When I started here on the new site I just went with ZOMBOPHOTO. Why not?

Oh and I didn't know about the Zombo's Closet guy when I chose that name or I probably wouldn't have gone with it.

My avatar will change every once in awhile.

And I wanted to add that my wife skates in our local roller derby and her skate name is Lily Punchter instead of Lily Munster and her # is 1313. If you have a roller derby in your area, please go support it. It's a lot of fun. And the tattooed girls in mini skirts knocking the hell outa each other ain't too bad either ;D

Other than that, I'm very happy to be here and very thrilled to meet you all !!!
