Ha, ha!!! It's great to hear how some of my children are doing! I hope the pumpkin buster gets a toast on Halloween!

And, yeah, that instrumental collection really made my Halloween this year! FYI... I caught wind of it at this website:

This album has got me in the Christmas spirit. Like the mash-ups of Christmas and surf classics, like God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and Pipeline.

How have I missed this thread until now?!  Great stuff!  I love surf music too and love The Ventures and Satan's Pilgrims are one my favorites.

But, I have to tell you guys about this band from southern California called The Glasgow Tiki Shakers!  One of the very best surf bands out there.  You can sample their tunes on this Amazon page--  http://www.amazon.com/The-Glasgow-Tiki-Shakers/dp/B0013OEMQU

Amazing stuff, and Velvet Surf has to be one of the prettiest songs ever made.

I also love this Russian surf band called Messer Chups!  Look them up on Youtube and you'll love their monstery videos.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas too!

By the way, the Ventures Christmas album is a seasonal tradition:

The Los Straitjackets Live Christmas shows -- with the Pontani Sisters, Kaiser George and El Vez have been a real treat for surf/instro fans these past years.  This year head Straitjacket Danny "Daddy-O Grande" Amis is battling cancer instead of playing gigs.  Keep him in your Christmas wishes/prayers if you would.

Man, I'm really diggin' this music - I definitely need to burn a cd with these great tunes.  Thanks, everybody, for posting these!

Here's a favorite I used to have on 45 (might still), followed by one I always liked, especially for the cool title.

The Ventures-2,000 Lb. Bee Pt 1 and 2 (First Fuzzbox recording from 11/1962)

The Meteors - Night Of The Werewolf

Love Satan's Pilgrims. For my money, the best modern-retro surf band around.
