This is the result of my effort to recreate the original opening to Monster Movie Matinee which aired on WSYR TV Syracuse New York from 1964 well into the 80's.

The  house model was created with the original Alexander HO scale haunted house used in the series, much styrofoam, glue, railroad and accessory models and much patience and time.

The only visual reference I had is posted below. The only thing I couldn't add was the dry ice effect from the original. Dry ice is apparently, verrry difficult to find these days.

This is absolutely terrific! This was "my" horror show back in the early 70s!

Thanks a ton for the link as well... I just went and watched the clips and felt all warm and fuzzy with wonderful memories coming back!

Opera Ghost

Not familiar with it, but really enjoyed it!

Good job...btw...most ICE houses or places that sell block ice sell dry ice!

I used to watch Monster Movie Matinee on Saturady afternoons on channel 3 growing up.  They screened Universal, Hammer and 50's sci-fi films.  It was my introduction to those movies. I still associate those movies with the show.

The actor who played Dr. Witty also reported the weekday afternoon weather.  Dr. Witty was also featured on the afternoon kids show the STM Club.  The showed Scooby Doo cartoons along with either The Three Stooges or Abbott and Costello series.

It's a nice tribute to the series.

Baron Deamon was before my time but I've seen him on Channel 9 specials.
