DUNGEONS & DRAGONS
« on: June 10, 2009, 11:32:23 PM »
Any D&D players here amongst the UMA, newbies?, Veterans?

I myself have played 1st edition and 2nd edition since 1990, I skipped the 3rd edition when it came out.
I played 4th edition for a few months, then lost players to continue.

I used to PLay D+D but i swithched to Warhammer Fantasy role play.many years ago..I like the system better and it is the same world as Warhammer Fantasy Battle ....  I also play Toon .....   Role playing games rule and the older i get the more fun they are ... me and my son started a Fantsy role play after school program. The new one I have but only played once is Dark Heresy . Very interesting game but a little hard to DM.

I've played Rifts/Shadowrun/RECON/ShadowHunters/BootHill/Warriors of the Wastelands/Outlander.
RECON-Vietnam based rpg and BootHill-wild west rpg are my favorites, besides D&D.

Yep, I used to play.  My group moved on to other things and I didn't play anymore.  My favorite/best character was an elven magic-user/theif named Zackuth.

I love D&D, just can't find people near me to play. There was a game store about 30 minutes from my house where I used to play every Wednesday for the D&D Encounters.  I had such a blast and learned a lot.  The thing is, most of the people there knew each other outside of playing and the whole gaming experience became very cliquish.

Then I met 3 guys but they lived 40 minutes from my house and always wanted to play on different nights at their place.  Well, 40 minutes there and back is a lot of gas.

Still looking for some way to play.  Anyone know how to play with others over the internet?  I can't play D&D online because I don't have a PC.

It was a long time when ago when I played....I think I was around 10 or 11 when I got my first basic D&D set, and played until I was about 14. There have been a couple times over the past 5 or 10 years when I was knocking some beer back with some friends, and we'll be like....yeah, we should try that again sometime...but that's never happened.

About the closest thing I've come to D&D over the years is playing Skyrim on my 360.

Big Shadow- I play D&D online quite a bit...heck if permitted by the General I am sure we could start a D&D campaign here in the game section...I don't see how it could hurt anything. :)

Vintage- level 15 Orc here on Skyrim...just stole a dwarven sword of shocking from a museum lol...also has Blades armor and cool looking steampunk mask/helm...cant remember the name.

it has Vampires...Demons...Devils...Ghosts...Werewolves...Trolls...heck, every monster on this site is more than likely in D&D...even Aliens..there is a monster race that resembles them. :)

I always wanted to play D&D, but never had the players, the equipment and we were too poor growing up to have the stuff. I made my own RPGS as a kid. I actually copyrighted one game and a friend and I attempted to market it. It was a Professional wrestling boardgame, centered around the antics of a former circus Ringmaster turned Wrestler and Promoter.
