Will be hitting Mayhem Festival tonight!!  Checked out some recent Youtube footage and Rob has definitely let his live show slide, sounds very out of breath during alot of songs....seems like just not even bothering to sing some lyrics...My theory being a vegetarian has finally caught up with him, mentally and physically!!  Humans are designed to eat flesh n' meat and lots of it!!  If nothing else I will enjoy the horror/sci-fi clips he uses and the music itself.  Far as I know cameras are allowed so hope to get some footage as well!

There's a guy here at the office today walking about in a White Zombie Tee!

I've never seen them in concert either, but I've always liked them/him.  When I first heard WZ in the 90s, I really like the layered sound and I was delighted by the movie dialogue clips he used as intros.

They were so good 'WAY BACK WHEN". Great live band, and always gave 110 %.
I saw 'em 1989, in the Las Vegas desert. They were raw and starting to become
extremely popular. One could tell what the future held for Rob and CO. Think about
it......WZ were only around five yrs., at the time I saw them. But, I'm really fortunate
I got to see them, in the early days.

Rob and the rest of the band did not disappoint...What a great freaking show!!  Rob was on point all night only missed few lyrics and wasn't all winded like I heard in some of the Youtube clips from other shows.  The worst part about the show was the shortened set list, I was really hoping to hear Werewolf Women of the SS or Werewolf, Baby!...oh well maybe next time!  I'm uploading vids to Youtube so will post link once they're finished..not the best quality mind you but you'll get the idea.  I was in the lawn section but made my way down to the very front of it to get the video.

Here was the setlist~
         1. What Lurks On Channel X?
         2. Superbeast
         3. Scum of the Earth
         4. Living Dead Girl
         5. More Human Than Human
         6. Sick Bubble-Gum
         7. House of 1000 Corpses
         8. Never Gonna Stop
         9. Mars Needs Women
        10. Thunder Kiss '65
        11. School's Out
        12. Dragula

I was only able to record songs 1-5, 9 & 10 because I only had a 2G memory card (4G was screwing up) and had to make sure and record Mars Needs Women for my daughters.  Josephyne has been in love with that song since Hellbilly Deluxe 2 came out and now Samantha is trying to sing it too.  They just love themselves some "Zombie"!  Really wish I could have recorded Dragula it intro'd with a long clip from the end of Munsters, Go Home! and towards the end of the song faces of our beloved Universal Monsters kept flashing on the screens!  I looked at a few Youtube videos and although the Munsters intro was the same I didn't notice the Uni-Monsters....Rob must have known someone from the UMA was attending last night...LOL!

That's awesome!!! I bet the show was good. But, only twelve songs?!? I'm still
waiting for Mr. Zombie and Fiends to perform in Vegas.

The Creeper

I am a big fan of White Zombie and Rob Zombie!  I have got all there stuff!  Even have Make Them Die Slowly ( which I don't think is really good) but I have it.  Also have the rare Frankenstein cd of Rob Zombie's.
Long live the UMA!

I have MAKE 'EM on vinyl, and a lot of older WZ stuff. The Frankenstein cd, seems interesting.
I would like to see that. ;D

Just an FYI, the cd is clips of words/music from Universal's Frankenstein films, hand picked and compiled by Rob, it is not Rob's music.....I picked it up on day of release and really dug it!  Just wish he would have gotten the chance to do other, "The Words & Music of..." cds!

Here's a thread about the cd, http://www.universalmonsterarmy.com/forum/index.php?topic=6648.0

Make Them Die Slowly is definitely an acquired taste...though I don't know anyone that actually has a taste for it...LOL!

Wicked Lester

I'm moderate on RZ meaning I dig it on the rare times I turn the radio on but don't own any.
LOVE classic Cooper but really not much into the 80's and beyond.

Adding in the MurderDolls is a wise choice. It's like having a good meal with some fine brew/wine and adding in the blood pudding for dessert.

The Creeper

I agree!  I love the Murderdolls!  I am also a big Alice cooper fan!
Long live the UMA!

I have seen the MurderDolls, I think in '05. They had their S(*at*)#* together.
I am looking foward in seeing them on the Hallowe'en Hootenanny Tour, with
Alice and RZ.
