I have to go with Franky since he was the first one I got when I was a kid.  Least fave would  be Godzilla who kinda looks like a chicken!  LOL.

I'd have to say Dracula was my favorite, as I kept buying it and building it. I never was too crazy about the mouth piece fittings.

Kong was least favorite for same reasons mentioned above but at the same time always disliked the Wolf Mans' head sculpt.

I'm sticking with Monster kits only.

Overall favorite has always been the Phantom.
Favorite to build: The Mummy (bandages, archaeological relics and a snake to boot.)
Favorite to paint: Godzilla's Go Kart (It has and still rocks.)

Overall least favorite: Forgotten Prisoner
Least favorite to paint and build : Dr. Jekyll/Hyde (That arm!)

BTW, I reserve the right to revise this list when I come off the glue high.

i didnt build them all as a kid. between all of the kids in my family, i think we built all but the bride, witch and prisoner... maybe.

i built the big four and creature as a kid. and have a few collectibles ones i amassed over time. i built all the luminators. and i have them all in the basement, trying to get the kid to build some. plus the invisible man, nozz, and the ghost and fly if they ever show up. and any more aurora-styled i find... ready to set up a lighted display frame between 2 posts in the basement...

i also built all the comic scenes heroes except robin and cap, which i never found at that time. i would like them to reissue those caue a lot of them have kitbashing possibilities, as do the revell bats, robin, supes... as long as their heads (supes, robin) get swapped off.

the 8 packs of revised monster heads u can get on the web (cult tv) do look better.

The only one I've built is the Jekyll/Hyde glow kit but I wouldn't say it is my favorite.

I would say just looking at them that Frankenstein would be my favorite even though he has the least scenery/accessories.  Then again maybe it's because of the minimalism of the kit, just a monster and a grave, can't get any simpler.

King Kong would be least favorite I had to have all the Luminators except the King Kong and I have no plans to ever add it.  And I'm usually a completest!

All time fvorites: Monsters of the Movies Creature. Great sculpt and best pose. Lost in Space Cyclops and Robinsons. Just too much good stuff going on with that kit.

Least favorites: Original Wolfman. Terrible sculpt and dull pose. Godzilla. Another sub-par sculpt and a really dull pose.

Of course, the "least favorites" are only there because you asked! I love each and every one since I built my first kit at age 5 with my older sister, circa 1967, and haven't stopped building since.

Just because you don't like some does'nt mean you can't love them!

Favorite:  Frankenstein or the Mummy.  Loved the base on the Mummy kit.  Godzilla's Go-Cart is also up there.  Best of the monster rods for sure.  Least favorite.  Dr. Jekyll, MOM Dracula  or the Witch.   When I was a kid I didn't care for the Hunchback but as an adult it's a pretty cool piece.

My favorite (since I was a kid) is The Mummy... and not just because of the subject. Not only an outstanding sculpt by Bill Lemon, but I think Aurora really nailed the design aesthetic on this one as to what makes for a great model...

I remember building him with my father back in 63 or 64, Dad painted him blue with white dry brushing to try and approximate the box art. Here are pix of two of my favorite buildups, one realistic and one done like the Bama box art (done much better than Dad & I did all those years ago... but what I wouldn't give to still have our original!)

Those are really works of art!! Did you do any seem work on these?  The mummy is a great model because of all the ways you can paint him. I was also going to do the box art scheme but from the 1972 glow box art.

If I were to get a hold of these again, I'd try to duplicate the box art, for nostalgia's sake.

Glad you like the pics, and boy I WISH I could take the credit but I didn't build those - just sharing some pics of two great built examples of my favorite Aurora kit for the thread... however I did do extensive seam work on the one I'm in the process of building - pretty painstaking but worth it IMO (especially on his head).

Least favorite is too hard to pick... probably Jekyll as Hyde - but I love all of 'em!
