What was your favorite Aurora kit? Mine was the glow 1972 Mummy kit. I'd have to say the least was The hunchback. I just loved the glow kits . What kid in the late 60's early 70's didn't!!

You're right....the Mummy was tops on my favorite list too! I think it was the best sculpt of Aurora monsters. King Kong was probably my least favorite. Crazy scale issues with the base components, and his 'zombie' stare. Yeah, the glow technology really gave a fresh breath of 'life' to those kits at the end of the decade. Frightning Lightning Strikes!

My first kit was the Dracula "Frightening Lightening" long box kit purchased on Thursday night November 1969 for $1.50. I remember my mom getting all cranky saying I was spending to much of her money! And a revell kit goes today for $25.00!! Good thing I'm not ten years old right now! But maybe...

My favorite has to be The Phantom Of The Opera. Always loved the poor unfortunate victim peering out from his jail cell. Least favorite was probably King Kong.

Of the classic Monster kits, I'd say Frankenstein is my favorite, and least fave would be the Phantom. I never liked the Phantom's head sculpt much.

My BIG 3 are the original long box versions of Franky, Drac, and the Wolf Man. I still have my original built ups of all 3 from the early 60's but my earliest quest in adult collecting was to obtain boxed, complete versions of these 3 kits and thanks to John Green in Cali and Toy Scouts, i fulfilled this dream between the late 80's and early 90's. Still like to take them out from time to time to open up and breathe in that original Aurora styrene goodness...

Overall, my fave would have to be The Phantom, because of the pose and the tortured prisoner. Least favorite (by a country mile) would be The Wolfman. The shirtless, Superman physique with the rope belt thang didn't cut it for me.

My favorite was( and is) the glow Mummy. Least favorite would probably be King Kong. His giant head just creeps me out for some reason.

My favorite design is the Forgotten Prisoner, least favorite is Kong (only in this kit form!) but my personal favorite is the square box glow Wolf Man, for purely nostalgic reasons.

My favorite is the Forgotten Prisoner. It was my favorite as a kid and still is today. Least favorite is probably the Witch. She looks like she belongs in a different line.
