LeBron and the Heat have become battle scarred veterans. OKC and Durant will still win their share of rings but LeBron and the Heat earned it this year. They were about business and it showed.
All the greats had to lose before they won.
Sean:
Steve Nash to the Lakers!! He'll be 38 (or IS 38)... The Lakers tried adding older pieces before when they had Shaq & Kobe----by adding Karl Malone at 40, Horace Grant at 38 and Gary Payton who was maybe 35.
They were dominated by Detroit in the Finals.
Nash might have some left in the tank. This will be an interesting test to see if Kobe can relinquish control of where the ball goes. He's terrible at it himself. He always picks HIM. He's a good option-----just not all the time. He pushed Shaq out because he lost his mind with shots (Shaq shot closer to .600 and Kobe closer to .400----and KOBE got more shots?) and he has turned off Gasol.
Nash could invigorate EVERYONE on that team-------but it will be at the expense of Kobe's shot total. Kobe might be cool with it now in principal--------but he has NEVER stayed OK with it. And his inability to accept balance in an offense has destroyed team chemistry in the past-----to such a degree that I hold it against him in GOAT discussions. He is more talented than he is GREAT.
We'll all see if he can handle this.
Sean:
And now the Lakers add Dwight Howard, who's a bit of an unsettling head case himself. GREAT fantasy team in L.A., but will they mesh? Newcomers Nash & Howard are hungry. Nash might be the key to pulling it all together-----but will Kobe be OK with that? Stay tuned.

What was Orlando thinking when they agreed to this trade? Wow. My team finally has a legitimate big man probably their first since Mose Malone. I hope the procedure he is having in the next couple of weeks in Germany can help stave off any future knee problems.

Orlando had better offers that they turned down. IMO, they want to sink to the bottom and get the #1 pick... thing is with the lottery, there is no guarantee that the worst record gets you the #1 pick.
Bynum is reportedly getting the same non-surgical treatment that A-Rod and Kobe got. My question is WHY DO YOU HAVE TO GO TO GERMANY TO GET IT!!??? ;D
