Most of you know my love of sports. But it's not just the NFL that I follow. My greater passion is for the NBA. I love basketball. I play basketball. My son plays basketball in school. I'll watch any team on any channel just to enjoy the game of basketball. Unfortunately, the MN Timberwolves are in rebuilding mode and are at times brutally painful to watch. Truth be told though, I'm probably a bigger Lakers guy than I am a Wolves guy. Remember, the Lakers started out as a Minneapolis basketball team and then moved to LA. I wish they'd come back home to their land of 10,000 lakes. Hell, do they even have lakes out in Tinseltown?  :D

Unfortunately, another sports thread I will be mostly reading. With the current state of the Wizards, I rarely watch any NBA games. Guess I'll wait ill the playoffs.

fmofmpls:
Did you say Wizards?  ;D

Perhaps they could change their name to the Los Angeles La Brea Tar Pit'ers...

I'm a big fan of basketball myself, General.  I am a Boston Celtic fan, so we should get along just fine in THIS thread  :o :o :o....

I have serious concerns about the C's chances making it through the 82-game grind and then deep into the playoffs, given their age and injury concerns at key positions.  Garnett, Rasheed Wallace (he's like MY Brett Favre  ;)) and Paul Pierce are all walking band-aids.

They'd better not have to go through the Hawks----the youth and match-ups favor Atlanta.

I'd almost like to see Boston creep into the playoffs with a 42-40 record and give the old men 30 games off  ;D.  At least they cashed in on a title in 2008 when they dealt Big Al to Minnesota for KG.

I still regard Larry and Magic as the 2 best players I ever saw in the NBA.  I've been a fan of the league since about 1978.
