Thomas Kuebler Wolf Man Bust

Many are familiar with the work of Thomas Kuebler, a massively talented fellow. Max recently blogged about him here:
http://drunkenseveredhead.blogspot.com/2008/01/norman-rockwell-meets-twilight-zone.html
There is a link on his page to his website, which is well worth a visit.
An HMA member recently commissioned a Wolf Man bust from him, and posted pics here:

Just awesome stuff..!

I agree, I've paid only a couple hundred dollars for some great commissioned paintings. Then I have a one of a kind item, the only one there is. Way cooler than something that's a run of 300 or something in my opinion.

That Kuebler Wolfman is like his Phantom - they're not in his more characterized style. The style is more realism and I like them both a lot.

I think that might just be the best likeness I've ever seen of Chaney as the Wolf Man. Utterly amazing! What's so incredible is that Mr. Kuebler was so successful in capturing Lon Chaney Jr's likeness beneath the Wolf Man makeup. I'd swear it's ready to get up walk right off the page. Amazing!

You know Terry, the only other piece I've seen that captures Lon Jr as well I saw just the other day... a sculpt from the late Jack Nisi that, to my knowledge, never was produced as a finished mask.

Both are very excellent.
