I have not heard of these freakies. Are they along the same lines as the Russ Wallace Berrie jigglers which are shown here, http://retrochalet.blogspot.com/2012/01/russ-wallace-berrie-oily-.html  a soft slimy wax type monster things ?
Or which came first? Do we know?

1. You've linked to a page that does not exist.

2. The Freakies were two or so inch cereal premiums. As such, they're much smaller than your typical jiggler and made from much harder plastic.

The ultra rare soft rubber Freakies look just like the hard plastic ones but they are made of rubber, like the kind of rubber in a figural eraser.
They are much, much harder to find than the hard plastic Freakies.

There was also a set of soft squishy rubber figures (similar to the material Deiner erasers of the same era) but I don't think these were ever available other than by mail order, and I do not recall the cost.  They only came in green and orange as you can see.  I had only one rubber figure as a kid, a Boss Moss that I won in a game of horse, and I remember a kid over at my house for dinner biting it in half.
