I also loved this place but it's gone now right? Years ago when I went I was looking forward to buying some souvenirs from the cafe but had a hard time finding any. The only thing they had for sale inside the restaurant souvenir wise were little bags of cookies so I bought a couple. They told me that at one time they had t-shirts and maybe water bottles but they were gone. Once again Universal was neglecting the monster fans. I searched the entire park and the only thing I found was 1 cloisonne pin for the cafe at the souvenir shop in the front of the park. When I went to buy it the cashier asked me where I had found it since they had stopped selling those, and anything related to the cafe, awhile ago! I've come across 1 keychain from the cafe as well over the years on e-bay but that's it. I have a bunch of photos somewhere from inside the cafe. I remember the coolest thing was the middle of the place where the condiments were was done up like Dr. Frankenstein's lab with a bunch of Kenneth Strickfaden looking props. Also the Creature room was really cool.

If anyone has any souvenirs from the Monster Cafe that they would like to sell or trade, please pm me and let me know.  ;D

Thanks for starting this thread, hope some good photos pop up here!

I'm pretty sure it closed awhile back, but I could be wrong.

Ok I was wrong. According to the website it's still open.
I was there in June and it was still open.  They did remove the King Kong ride for the Mummy ride.

Love the Monster Cafe! I've loitered around there plenty. Heck, I would start off there with breakfast and end up sitting there long enough to take in lunch and dinner too! It really is the stuff that Monster Kid dream's are made of. Never mind the mediocre food .. it's not about the food. It's the visual and audible ambiance of the Monster Cafe that satisfies.

There was a long stretch of time where the Monster Cafe was indeed closed. And many thought it was for good too. I guess I'm a bit surprised to learn here that it is open again. It certainly looked liked as if it was another uni-monster casualty at the theme park.

I've got plenty of pics of all the themed seating areas including cafe memorabilia such as t-shirts, cups, and nanpkins. I'll dig for the pics and post them soon.

This is pics from a 2005 visit to the Cafe. I left about 10 lbs heavier. The Phantom statue you'll see in one of the photos was not part of the Monster Cafe. The other three statues were.
