Of these series, my question is, was one show better than the other one (If so, which do you like the best.
Second thought, where they really the same show, but simply "dressed up in "different" clothes"?  ;D

Isnt every show like this then the same, but dressed differently and have different hosts.

TWILIGHT ZONE
NIGHT GALLERY
OUTER LIMITS
DARK REALM
TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE
TALES FROM THE CRYPT
MONSTERS
ETC,ETC.

They are all pretty much the same, whether you like one or the other better.

Apples and oranges. Twilight Zone enjoyed a lot more creative control by Serling, including writing. With Night Gallery he was more or less just an emcee.

Twilight Zone -
Stupid reason.  I wasn't allowed to stay up late enough to watch Night Gallery, however I did manage to catch a few episodes here and there.

As a kid, Twilight Zone was just weird, but the Cliff Robertson/ Ventriloquest episode gave me nightmares for years to come. The writing, awesome.

NG seemed more horror driven--even the opening sequence of Night Gallery frightened me!

Yes, apples & oranges. I'd go with TZ by a slim margine: it ran longer, thus covered more creative ground.

Both were impressive, but I like ' Night Gallery ' slightly better because of it's more supernatural take on episodes.

I think Twilight Zone is the epitome of creativity on TV. I dont think we have ever been entertained or sucked in to a story since the days of TZ...everytime I watch an episode, no matter how many times Ive seen it, I watch it to the end and I'm amazed at the ending.

Night Gallery is very cool too and I have been watching it alot more in recent times. Like Uncle Creepy pointed out its much more straight foward with the supernatural and horror based themes...which is why it often hits the spot. Short, to the point, quick to get to the "creepy stuff".

Twilight Zone to me is just the be all and end all of the genre though. Every episode, every time...Rod Serling is the man!!!...So I go with TZ, but wouldnt ever sell NG short...just apples and oranges I guess.

Night Gallery seems dated, while Twilight Zone seems timeless. That, and TZ hit the mark more often.

Which one had more monster/aliens/creatures?

Twilight Zone for me-it allowed for a wider range of themes. Shows could be frightening, funny, sentimental or just plain weird. On Night Gallery these theme was pretty much in the horror genre, with mixed results.
Supernatural, perhaps; baloney, perhaps not.

Twilight Zone . . . hands down.

Sure, Night Gallery had it's moments but even the best of those were pale in comparison to TZ.
