I love old TV. 50s to 70s. Love old western TV shows. I'm a couple shows into my Cimarron City boxset staring George Montgomery. Very good show. 50 min episodes. For anyone else that likes this stuff you may want to check this site out if you haven't already.

I was mostly into science fiction as a kid and never got into westerns. The only one I watched on any kind of a regular basis was Bonanza but the episodes I enjoyed the most were the comedies. I tried to watch Wagon Train a few times but it bored me.

It was Clint Eastwood who opened my eyes to westerns in the late sixties. Somehow the anti-hero he played appealed to me as a teenager in contrast to the older style white hat versus black hat John Wayne style westerns.

Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef are therefore my favourite cowboy actors.

Here's the first of the many scenes that established Clint Eastwood's reputation as a spaghetti western legend par excellence:

Clint was into animal rights long before they became a cause celebre. Brigitte Bardot soon adopted Clint's cause.
