Jack Davis poster of FrankenStein
« on: January 09, 2011, 09:59:01 PM »
I have an original Jack Davis poster of FrankenStein. I am trying to look up places to take it to, to have it appraised for its condition. Does anyone have any ideas?

I think this has been discussed elsewhere on the site. You might check around for the subject in the Memorabilia topic. The problem is these big posters were meant to be somewhat disposable......tack em up on the wall or door......when they get frazzled. throw em away (Mom's job). Their size, for preservation is a problem. A custom frame is needed, there has been a discussion on glass or Plexiglas (clear plastic) or linen-back preservation like is done on movie poster........all expensive. I have two 6' Lone Ranger posters (one LR and one Tonto) from the 50's......still folded in a box. I can't decide how I want to fix-em-up for display either...........  Bud

Why would you want it appraised?
