Jeff Yagher Aurora tribute kits. Anyone have any Built-ups?
« on: December 26, 2007, 03:50:04 PM »
I didn't pick any up (yeah, I know... I'm dumb) but I was always blown away by his ability to capture the Aurora box art in 3D form.

Anyone have pics of some builtups?

WOW!

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout.

Those are amazing. I'm totally gonna break down when he does a creature. Knowing my luck It'll probably be the last one he does, then I'll send myself to the poor house because I will then have to have the other 11.

I have known Jeff as an actor for almost 2 decades, He did a Twilight Zone as Elvis and one of my good friends was his double for the reverse shots.
Anyway, he is truly one of the most talented guys I have ever met. These kits and all of his previous kits have raised the bar on on this hobby.
It's been a LONG time since I have purchased any resin kits, but these would bring me back.

On ewonderful storuy about Jeff's talent. We did a crapty movie as a favor for a friend called TERROR EYES.

Jeff converted a head his brother had of a black actor into a head of my pal, Lance August for a scene where Lance desinagrates.

SO this converted head (again not from a lifecast of Lance, but that of an older black actor) was so dead on, that when Chuck (Igor)watched the dailes  of Lance dying he said, "Lance, thats the best acting you have ever done!"

Yeah I really regret never buying any of these kits.  They are beautiful! My favorite is the Wolfman.  You have to love the little "puppy ears" on him!

I was "Fleagle" in our local chapter of the Banana Splits fan club. I still have the Fleagle doll I ordered from the back of a Kellogg's cereal box. Wish I still had the 45 rpm records... I do have their lp.

Didn't Lenny Kravitz have a huge hit with that?  ;)

The Wolfman is amazing. I always loved the weird amalgam of the Oliver Reed and Lon Chaney Jr. wolfies.

Here are my takes (with a little Photoshop) on three of those:

These are beautiful kits, but tough to build...and even harder to get. Bride is next - she is even tougher
