Disney is making a B&W werewolf movie?

I know that was short, but I didn't see anything that interested me.

I think this is for TV. Somebody started a thread in the TV section.

Trailer looks neat-o torpedo
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Kinda, it's gonna be more like a TV special more than a movie.

So this thing, shot in black and white, intended for the family, and consistently compared to Universal Monster movies, is getting GREAT reviews.

I'm sorry, but Universal wouldn't let Rob Zombie film The Munsters in black and white... yet Disney produces this thing in black and white, which by all accounts I've read, is really well done...  and Universal's color film is getting panned, but Disney's black and white one isn't...  Maybe there need to be some changes at Universal.

^It proved Marvel knows how to do Universal better than current Universal does for sure. I enjoyed The Munsters, but admit it's probably an acquired taste. I LOVED Werewolf by Night.

I enjoyed WWBN as well. I thought the use of the single color to highlight the Bloodstone was a neat idea. Elsa Bloodstone worked well and it was so cool to see the Manthing in a different light. I wondered about Jack Russell being a little older here than he’d been in the comics. Finally the homage to Ploog’s old WWBN cover was very cool!

This was really well done. Probably the best homage to the classic Universal style.

It veers off after a while and gets a little too "Marvel-y" but with the short run time and strong storytelling and visuals, this has to be considered a homerun.

And if it encourages people to go back and check out some Universal horror, all the better.

I actually think there is a market, albeit niche, for this sort of thing if it can be well executed and not hackneyed. House of the Wolfman comes to mind as something that probably could have been a lot of fun if it has the talent and skill that this had involved. Instead, it's absolute rubbish.

But perhaps Universal could give the classic monsters a go in a format more akin to this for a streaming platform.

To each his own-- WWBN was one of my favorite series as a kid, I thought this was incredibly boring.  They made 55 mins feel like three hours.  Ted was great but that was about it.
