Longtime Member Robert Taylor
« on: July 30, 2022, 04:41:17 PM »
Robert Taylor (typhooforme) has passed away. Although we haven't seen him in the past few years, he was a longstanding active member since the Yahoo days. Very knowledgeable on the subjects dear to our hearts. He was one of the elder statesmen of the group and we shall miss him. R.I.P. Robert!

I met him once. I think it was at the same show I met Dan Roebuck. I had my youngest son with me, who was about 8 or 10 at the time. Years ago. Robert was very nice to him. He was a good fella. :'(

While I only knew him through this forum Robert was such a kind friendly person. Once or twice we emailed each other and he always had time for my questions, especially on Karloff or the Acker-mansion. He was a delight to have known and I'm sure that he left his mark on Monsterdom. Rest easy Robert and my condolences to all his friends and family, God speed dear friend.

My heart is heavy with the news of Robert’s passing. He was instrumental in the development of the UMA. Just standing next to him made me feel better and smarter too. He was wise and had an adventure for life that I admired. His influence upon this community will be forever felt. Rest well, old friend!

Sad to hear news like this, wonder how many of our members that aren't active anymore have also passed but due to friends or family not knowing the persons interests the news is not brought to our attention. Rest In Peace Robert.

Hard to say. Undoubtedly it has happened.

"typhooforme" ... that name comes up a lot in older posts. I enlisted too late to know him
but he certainly seems well respected among the top brass around here. 'Sad to lose him.

Indeed! That's always a concern.
