Theatre Macabre

Has anyone seen the Theatre Macabre series from 1971-72 starring Christopher Lee?  I watched the first three episodes and thought they were absolutely horrible.  There is nothing "macabre" about them.  The stories in and of themselves are fine, but as a "macabre" series, this it is not.  I don't think I'll be watching anymore of them.
