I would have been all over that one had Aurora issued it when I was a kid back in the early 1960's.

I have thos on preorder over at CultTvMan.  So it will likely be in stock there shortly and then shipped to me.  Pretty cool that it is being produced all these years later.

I think it is.  It was made around the time of the "Monsters Of The Movies" kits, so likely it's in that scale.

I'll let you know when I get it.

As long as it's in the "Monsters of the Movies" scale, than yes, it is the same scale as the Monster Scenes.
I have the MM Dr. Jekyll and it's the same scale as the Monarch Mr. Hyde/Dracula.

The Aurora prototype, which the Atlantis kit reproduces exactly, was designed to be part of the "Monsters of the Movies" series. The base has the movie title "This Island Earth" on a film clapper board. Approximately 1/12 scale.

I would have wanted one as part of the original series in 1963-64.

You should still snag one.
Cool box. Rare kit. Not many made.

I pre-ordered mine from Atlantis when they first announced it.
This is so cool to see this kit being made here in the 'States.
If Atlantis can do it, then there is no reason others can't follow suit.
