It's like a lifesize Aurora Monster Scenes kit! Cool!

Hopefully Scarey stumbles upon a prop like this somewhere to add that final touch:

 ;)

Collecting! It's what I do!

I was able to get started on wiring up the LEDs and such for this corner...

Got my "panels" done, my power supply, LEDs and some vintage looking braided wire

Mounted the power supply outside the room and a switch so I can cut power anytime I want to do more work
or maybe add something at a later date. Ran the wires through the wall and into the back of the main panel

Ran 2 strips of LEDs over the lab area. Im still so amazed at how much light these little puppies an put out!

Ran wiring from the panel through a small hole in the back of the cabinet. Put lights on the inside of the door
to light up the top and bottom shelves. Hard to see them in the pic but they are there. I use a thick metal tape
to hold the wires in place, its something I can easily paint to match the background and make them disappear

Got the toggle switches mounted and wiring done on the inside of the panel. It tucks in nicely and the only exposed
wire will be what I want to be seen. Time to get it mounted to the wall and move on to the secondary panel!

Primary panel mounted up...

Secondary panel mounted and wired up...

All switching tested. Nothing worse than getting everything in place, and having 2 out of 3 things work!
Not that its ever happened to me, thats just what I hear  ;)

Heres the corner so far, still very bare but getting all the basics done before I can start filling it up. The wiring
on the right will go out to the pump panel and some shelf lights...

Getting excited about this project, its coming together smoothly!

Finally got the "pump station" put together. Started with a plastic box pulled from a refrigeration timer. Some old valves I found on ebay, and an aquarium pump

Base paint on, holes drilled,  all the little doo dads in place. The pieces painted brass are things I made with OOMOO and SMOOTH CAST. Have I mentioned I love that stuff lol.

Aquarium pump mounted in box, tubes run, and wiring done for the pump and the shelf lights

Here are the 2 main jars, one for the heart and one for the brain. I wanted to wrap a thin piece of sheet metal around them, but they have some slight curves and I didnt think it would look
right, so I took a chance and painted right on the glass. Wasnt sure if it would even work . Scuffed it up best I could, painted, aged, and added some embellishment (the "rivets" are heads off tacks)
Even though I know that its painted on, Ive had customers that thought it was the real deal (did I mention this is how I spend I lunch hour)...

And here is the finished box and the jars in their respective places...

Alrighty! Been awhile since Ive had the chance to work in the lab, but proud to say this section is all but done. Wiring, lighting, all up and running

Just need to start adding more bells and whistles, skulls and beakers to make it real busy

Found a cool FX company to make a brain and heart for me. Very pleased with how well they turned out!

Now that I finished up the "lab" section, Ive focused on revamping the original side of the lab. Originally I was using battery powered DC lights (bought from Radio Shack no less, that dates it!),
so Ive started gutting all the wiring and redoing it with modern components. Plus my abilities have increased (not much, just a little) to add some flickering and what not. Still not at the stage where Im using computers and Arduinos lol, but finding other ways to make things work. So now, Im breaking some eggs...

Tearing down the "bubbler" to make sure she is still leak proof

Not the prettiest wiring job, but it works!

Thanks for following along! Hopefully it wont be so long in between before I get the next pics up!!

Are you going to settle for mannequins to use as victims or are you contemplating victims that are more lifelike?

 ???

Hey Hep! If/when I get to the point Im ready for a cadaver, it definitely will be something I get from an FX company. I know I wouldnt be happy with a mannequin.
Its gonna cost an arm and a leg (Ba Dum Bump) but worth it. Not sure where it will go yet, space is limited and shrinking all the time with every new project...

Hello all! Been awhile, finally got the latest project done, started "social media-ing" with instagram and YouTube.
Anyway, lots going on...like I said I started a YouTube channel with not so much "how to's" but "how I did it".
Heres a couple pics of what I just finished up:

This was my most adventurous build yet. It bubbles, zaps n sparks. If you get a chance, check out the build:
