Cargo Ship Queue
« on: September 21, 2021, 02:45:43 PM »
I recently saw an aerial photo of some 70 massive ships waiting in line outside Los Angeles ports.

I wonder if they, and the piled up backlog already sitting on Los Angeles area docks, might be what is holding up release of some toys we have been waiting for?

I also read an article claiming that many Christmas items will be delayed because of the same problems.  Some are expected to be too late for this year's holiday.

I wonder how many more ships might be waiting in line for over a week outside other major ports, like San Francisco, San Diego, etc.

Without acting like some sort of cloak and dagger insider, I can tell you from the chatter....its absolutely what's got things held up. In point of fact, its what's caused delays with Martin at DD. I didn't get my Yorga bust until the next newsletter was already touting the next month's pre-orders.

Also, the mail around here used to run at 10am sharp. it isn't coming til 4 in the afternoon some weeks. Understaffed and continued exposure and quarantine procedures regarding covid.

I second Anton here. I backed some games on Kickstarter and the folks were giving us blow-by-blow email updates regarding fulfillment. They were stuck at the port, then stuck waiting for a train.
