Superb present from an evidently superb Wife!

Loved the set up with the card stills, really set it off there for me.

The Moleman is a Creature close to my heart too, next to Gilly one of my faves designs (there's plenty more of course, but nowt tops Gilly).

Really nice sculpt on the mask & good cohesive colour choices used (that mocha brown base is lovely).

Now if only they'd make a glow version  8)

Enjoy Sir  ;)

Just got him in the mail today:  He is Terrific!  Immaculate paint job!  Thick enough!  And most important---no way to get this one stuck on my head!  Anyone who adores the original Calendar mask had better not let this slip  them by!   Even though he is painted up in a most supreme way, I might not afford myself the luxury of resisting the temptation to paint his face that green colour in his early FM advertisement rendition----as well as find a way to have his pebble head areas frocked  that   brown fuzziness like the original   One stunning mask indeed!

Wasn't the DPS version made from an original mold used to make them in the movie?

The Halloween Society infers that it was "adapted" from one of the original sculptures for the movie.  What that process was eludes me.

It was adapted from a movie mold in the same way Hunchaback was.  Clay press from the movie mold.  Some retooling and details added.   In Hunchbacks case most notably the teeth.

The ToTS mask made two separate appearances on Svengoolie's show last night >

Somebody was wearing it with Fly claws during one of the skits >

The name "E Thomas Case" was mentioned in connection with Bud Westmore and
masks created for the 1956 movie. Does anyone here know more about this?
