Selling Glenn Burtis mask collection for Charity
« on: March 02, 2021, 01:12:04 AM »
Hello friends, old and new. I know I haven't been around much the last few years, that  is primarily because my professional commitments have been keeping me busy. That said I am pleased to be here again but saddened by the purpose.

Our friend Glenn Burtis has passed way. Glenn LOVED all of this , most especially, masks. His son Brandon has a asked that I help distribute some of Glenn's masks and we decided a CHARITY SALE would be the best way to honor his memory and love for the hobby. Brandon chose two Cancer Charities and the proceeds will be distributed to them.

Unfortunately my work will pull me out of town soon for a few months so I will try to get as much of this done is is possible before i go.

Please look for the items available on

or

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1443867969190811/buy_sell_discussion

I will try to put reminders here when I post new masks on those sites.

Would love to participate in this, but don't have a Facebook account. Is there a non-Facebook option?

I met Glenn at Don-Con and we became fast friends. He was such a good guy.

GoryGlenn's posts here were always a welcome treat. He'd be gratified and proud that you and Brandon
have launched this noble endeavor. I never saw his entire collection in person but am impressed by the
variety of companies represented. He had masks from Post Studios, Be Something, Distortions Unlimited,
Illusive Concepts, Forum Novelties, and many zombie characters from Trick or Treat Studios. Here's a

Thank you so much Sirmaskalot. Some of the masks pictured above have been sold.
If you send an email to me at danroe8(*at*)yahoo.com and let me know you are looking for the available masks, I will send you a link to a dropbox folder that contains the available masks.

By the way, it was a true fact that our Gory Glenn kept most of his masks in the Bedroom primarily.

hello to all. Again PLEASE send over an email to me at the address listed above (below I guess) should you wish to see the FOLDER with all AVAILABLE masks.

I am putting the information below so that everyone knows what I am doing here (for Glenn and his family) and why. Getting a few emails that suggest I should have put all of this information in the first post. I don't really want to negotiate pricing due to the circumstances. That said , if you truly want the mask but simply can't afford it, inform me of that and I'll try to approach it just as Gory Glenn would.

Clarifying one last point, I will not be able to send anything for months after Tuesday March 9 2021 as I will be gone and can't ask my family to search for masks while I am away.

Our fellow collector Glenn Burtis passed away recently and I am helping his son Brandon to sell these masks so that the proceeds may be donated to to cancer charities that he chose.
Today’s masks are self-explanatory, especially the great trick-or-treat studios masks. I have a limited amount of time to make as much of this happen as I can so I will try to post every day. Mask prices are on the mask photos and If you buy one mask shipping is $25, Two masks are $35, three masks are $45.
The charities Brandon chose are The Prevent Cancer Foundation and the Cancer Research Institute.
Please PM me at Grace Buster. I will sell the masks in the order I received the PMs. Lastly all masks are sold as is. I’m not a dealer and the point of this entire event is for us all to make a difference for people suffering from cancer. I will try not to sell any mask that is not displayable.

Mask showed up a few days ago. I went with Glenn's Mohawk Zombie from Return of the Living Dead. Love that movie, and it's an honor to be to custodian of at least part of Glenn's collection.

Thanks again, Danny!

Glenn's Mohawk Zombie from Return of the Living Dead.

'Fun score, Doh. I remember that character from the poster but did it ever have a scene in the movie itself?
I only watched it once, when it first came out in 1985, and can't recall. gracebuster really did a super job of
dispersing all these masks in just a few days. Around half the collection is sold already!

No, not in the movie -- strictly poster art. I love how it looks like it belongs in the EC Comics universe.

Too small to wear, however. But a nice display piece.
