I know.

I think I am just in the mood for something insane that is not being issued as an official government document.


I've been kinda depressed, lately.  Elections, civil unrest, pandemic diseases, coast-t-coast natural disasters, my best friends planning to move to another state, personal health issues...  And, living through it all, I am in California where the brown skies are thick with smoke like nothing I have seen since I was a little kid and we were world-famous for our school-closing smog.  A couple nights ago, I peeked out my back door and could see nothing but a dull red crescent, where a brilliant moon should be.

Yeah, I'm ready.  Even for this nonsense.  Hell, it's got Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones - Academy Award winners, all.

Maybe I'll hate myself, later (It won't be the first time) but I'm gonna watch it as soon as the BLU-Ray price drops enough.

And I'm in Southern California.  Think what it must me like up north...

Living from whatever you grabbed from home and stuffed in the car trunk, outa some pandemic-crowded shelter.  Or, if you're lucky, in some cheap motel where the hookers are killing time.  Imagine, being surrounded by idled ladies-of-the night, willing to strike deals, but constantly reminded by the masks that you might get a homely one - or worse.

I used to love living in Southern California, but things changed, and by 2011, I went to the East coast, and I'm perfectly happy living here. I felt so fortunate that I visited back in March 2020, when you could still see the places I enjoyed growing up there.
