"US actor Harrison Ford is to reprise his role as adventurer Indiana Jones in the Disney movie franchise.

The film, to be directed by James Mangold, is to be the 78-year-old actor's fifth and final instalment as Indy.

The film is due for release in July 2022."

There has been talk for some time about Ford doing another, even before Disney got involved.  The only surprise is hearing that Spielberg won't be directing the final outing.  Given how many years and writers went into the screenplay for KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, there's no excuse for it being the mess it was.  I felt like I was watching a SyFy Channel movie.  Had that been the film to introduce us to Indy Jones back in 1981, there would have never been a franchise.  But there are enough die hard fans that any film that has the names of both Indy Jones and Harrison Ford on the poster is bound to sell tickets.

If they were smart, they would tailor the 78 year old Jones to his age and change up the story, but I won't hold my breath.
