How Do You Catalog Your Physical Media Movie Collection?

I keep all of mine in original packaging and store by type (box set, multi-feature, single), and alphabetical order within certain genre/sub-genre groupings (Hammer, Kaiju, Mexican, etc.). I keep everything TV in a separate bookcase, including horror hosted movies. I have five bookcases of DVD/Blu-rays but I don't keep a list or data base. I can still find what I'm looking for pretty quickly. I keep duplicate movies boxed up like Alpha PD stuff that I already have on compilation box sets, and older versions of certain releases that I want to keep for my collection. I don't like having to keep lists or databases unless it's absolutely necessary like with comics and monster mags (too many to keep up with without a list).
