One of my favorites, that is a steal at $30 prepainted.  They should go fast.

I know it says (quite correctly) 'painted' on the box, but the auction says 'Pre-painted'? Wouldn't that have been BEFORE it was painted?
Awesome figure though.

Why did those people bid $100 if they retail at $30?

"Pre-painted" means it's already painted so you don't have to do it. Like "pre-formatted" (already been formatted).

I know that's how it is accepted currently, but... seriously, no it doesn't.  ;D
It's no big deal, and I only made the comment in jest, but really, pre never means 'already', and whenever it is applied that way it's not correct.
That's why I was glad to see just 'painted' on the box of this very cool figure instead of 'pre-painted' because the latter is correct, and is very rarely used these days, losing out to the more popular 'pre'.
No biggie, just one of the peevy quirks of a very confusing and poorly-ruled language.

"Pre" means "before". So, the item is painted "before" it is sold.
