The Year Without HALLOWEEN

We recently moved into a neighborhood that doesn't get a lot of Halloween traffic, much to my dismay. This year was going to be year one of my five year plan to get a decent crowd. I still plan on doing what I was going to do, because it'll be a dark day when I don't celebrate Halloween, but I'm also tempering my expectations.

A majority of my city has had a decline in families with children so they implemented a trunk-r-treat at our park.  It's good because the kids can hit many cars and get candy rather than walking down a street of 50 houses and only have 6 of them passing out candy.  We still have regular trick-r-treating, but it's dwindled down to only a few blocks.

The solution could be everyone wearing a mask and using "grab sticks" to deposit candy in the kids bags or for the kids to carry grab sticks and pull the candy from your candy dish or whatever you use.  Either way, the grab sticks would work.

I have M*A*S*H* on DVD.  It gives you the options of watching the shows with or without the stupid laugh track.  It is SO much more enjoyable without.

 I'm afraid the answer is "yes". We all speculated about this when the pandemic first started. Who would have thought it would become a reality? This was supposed to disappear, "like a miracle:. We can all go to New Zealand for Halloweeen. Come to think of it, they don't want any Americans there. Can you blame them? Very sad turn of events. Btw, I'm absolutely in love with Jacinda Ardern. THAT'S a leader!

Has Jacinda Ardern ordered New Zealand's air force to shoot down all planes heading for New Zealand? Has she also ordered the navy to sink all ships approaching New Zealand coastline as well as the strafing of any survivors in the water before they reach New Zealand's fair shores?
