Evidently Hope Hicks had it for several days BEFORE she became symptomatic.  So Trump and his immediate family, maybe Vice President Pence and even his Supreme Court nominee could have been exposed.

There was a lot of shouting at the debate and many attendees did not wear masks.

Trump and Melania will be fine, just like approximately 99% of those who have already gotten it.  Should things take a turn for the worse, the therapeutics that have been developed over these last 6 months will definitely help the situation.  The media tends to sensationalize COVID-19 as if it's a death sentence to anyone who gets it, which is irresponsible and sad.

He's 74 and clinically obese.  There is cause to take it a bit more seriously.  Some of the survivors spent months on respirators or had unpleasant lingering side effects.

I have a friend. She is also 74. She has a compromised immune system. She recently recovered from cancer. She suffers from clinical depression due to outliving her only child. She is overweight and has renal issues. She got covid. It put her in the hospital for 9 days. She beat it. I think a lot of who beats it and who doesn't has to do with genetics.

I agree. I don't know if it's genetics or some other random thing but I've known a ton of people who have had COVID. None that I know personally died. Only one went to the hospital and she was 85 and very overweight (is fine now). When one specific person called and told me they were positive I really thought in my own mind they might have a decent chance of not making it. 69 years old. More serious health conditions than I can count. Very much overweight. She ended up having a fever and cough but was totally fine in a few days.

Meanwhile LOTS of other people have very serious complications and die. There has to be something that so causes it to dramatically impact some and not others. Really weird.
