Precautionary measure due to Coronavirus concerns.

Disneyland is doing the same.

Disneyland is doing the same.

I was just thinking about Southern California.  That will be the same on both coasts in this country - and Disney all over the world, evidently.

Sorry about any plans you had.

Awwww.  I was toying with taking my nephew to Disney as a surprise on Monday because I heard it was VERY dead.  Oh well.

You remind me of my Dad when I was little.  Every time we would get a heavy rain. he would look wistfully out the window and say, "Awwwww, I was gonna take you guys to the drive-in tonight, too."  (It was a lie, of course.  He was just messing with the kids.)

It's getting really weird. I am not an alarmist. Never have been. Most of my friends act as if I am cooler than Spock on the emotional spectrum. Yet, my wife and I ventured to several grocery outlets today in order to get what we needed at the homestead. We were out for three hours due to lines, and no stock of certain products. The Governor declared a state of emergency today. No school til further notice. Charter, Public, or private. No visits to senior care facilities and other places where those deemed at risk are living. St. Patrick's Day celebrations cancelled. It's very eerie.

I didn't want to fire up this hot topic again.  I just want all UMA members to know about the unavailability of Universal Studios - in case they had plans.

I was picturing one of us showing up at an empty parking lot, like the Griswolds at Wally World.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I have plans to go there in October. My kid brother is taking me there on an all expenses paid trip. VIP Experience to see the Bates lot/House set and the Court of Miracles. If it's open and this thing is over with. I am also hoping to meet up with my best friend from the 5th/6th grade, whom I haven't seen in almost 4 decades. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, Universal Studios park has nothing to do with paper towels, unless there's a spill.

With all the news floating around about theme parks everywhere, it will probably be very dead on Saturday...

Buena Park's Knott's Berry Farm and Ghost Town will also be closing down through March.

Knott's has a killer Halloween-themed "Knott's Scary Farm" each October with performers like Elvira.  Makes me wonder what the situation will be later in the year.

I had planned to go, and spent last week in Southern California, visiting relatives. I went to both Universal Studios, and Disneyland. I can't tell you how glad I went last week, and not next week.

I wish I could, but my days off are Monday and Friday.  I work retail.  His VPK is off next week and his dad is off that day so it would have been the perfect opportunity.  Oh well.

I made plans to go to California at the end of February, through March 9. I'm glad I did. I enjoyed Disneyland and Universal, as well as medieval Times. It was after I got back, that I began hearing about everything closing down for who knows how long. Hopefully things might be back on track by October.
